Kingston Technology Company, Inc., a world leader in memory products and technology solutions, has been ranked the top third-party DRAM module supplier globally, according to the latest revenue rankings by TrendForce. Despite a challenging year marked by a 28% YoY decline in DRAM module sales across the industry, Kingston maintained its dominant market share of 68.8%. This achievement underscores Kingston’s consistent market leadership, now held for 21 consecutive years.
The global decline in DRAM module sales stemmed largely from an inventory correction phase in the consumer electronics sector post-pandemic, coupled with high utilization rates among DRAM suppliers, which further drove down prices. Despite these challenges, Kingston’s comprehensive market presence and strong brand scale mitigated the impact, ensuring its continued top position. Notably, the market began showing signs of recovery in the latter half of 2023, with consumer demand gradually improving.
In 2023, Kingston expanded its product lineup, launching the Kingston FURY Renegade Pro DDR5 RDIMM, designed for creators and data science professionals. The company also achieved validation for its Server Premier DDR5 DIMMs with 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors and refreshed its Kingston FURY Renegade DDR4 with a bold new design. Earlier this year, Kingston marked a major milestone with the shipment of over 100 million overclockable modules.
“The 2023 findings from TrendForce reflect the company’s ongoing strength and adaptability in the face of yet another demanding business year,” said Kristy Ernt, DRAM business manager at Kingston. This recognition reinforces Kingston’s unwavering presence in the memory module industry as it continues to lead with innovation and reliability.
